1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CardCompass, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and CardCompass.

2. The Service

CardCompass is an informational tool that helps you manage and optimize the rewards, benefits, sign-up bonuses, and points on the credit cards you already hold. It surfaces reminders, tracks progress, and suggests which of your existing cards may earn the most in a given situation.

CardCompass is an independent product. We are not a bank, card issuer, financial institution, or financial adviser, and we are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any bank or card issuer. We do not issue cards, extend credit, or move money.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and located in the United States to use the Service. By using CardCompass, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Your Account

You may use CardCompass with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Apple ID or Google account you use to access the Service and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at hello.cardcompass@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

CardCompass offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription ("Pro"). Pro features are described in the app at the point of purchase.

• Billing: Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store and managed with RevenueCat. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. We never see or store your payment-card details.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings.
• Pricing & changes: Current pricing is shown in the App Store before you confirm. We may change pricing prospectively; changes do not affect a period you have already paid for.
• Refunds: Purchases are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies. Requests are made through Apple, not CardCompass.

6. Connecting Financial Accounts

Linking a bank or card account is optional and powered by Plaid. If you connect an account, you authorize CardCompass to receive transaction, liability, and account-metadata information through Plaid in order to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Your use of Plaid is also governed by Plaid's own end-user privacy policy and terms. You may disconnect a linked account at any time in the app, which revokes our ongoing access to that account.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where permitted by law.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place an undue load on the Service or its infrastructure.
• Access the Service through automated means or scrape data without our written permission.
• Use the Service to violate any law or to infringe the rights of others.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.

8. No Financial Advice

CardCompass provides information and tools for convenience only. It does not provide financial, tax, legal, or investment advice, and nothing in the Service should be relied upon as such.

Rewards rates, point valuations, redemption values, benefit details, and recommendations are estimates and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. The official terms, rates, and benefits of any card are determined solely by the card issuer. You are responsible for verifying information with your issuer before acting, and you are solely responsible for your own financial decisions.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, text, and original content, is owned by CardCompass and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose.

Card artwork, brand names, and logos belong to their respective issuers and are used for identification only. CardCompass is not affiliated with or endorsed by any bank or card issuer.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties including Plaid, Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and others. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or content of third parties.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information it presents is accurate or complete.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CardCompass and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, rewards, points, or data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the app's account settings, which deletes your server-side data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could cause harm or legal exposure.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app and/or by email, and the "Last Updated" date will be revised. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which CardCompass is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in the United States.

5. 订阅与计费

CardCompass 提供免费层级和可选的付费订阅（“Pro”）。Pro 功能在应用内购买时予以说明。

• 计费：订阅通过 Apple App Store 销售并由 RevenueCat 管理。费用从你的 Apple ID 账户扣取。我们绝不会看到或存储你的支付卡详情。
• 自动续订：除非在当前周期结束前至少 24 小时取消，订阅将按届时价格自动续订。可随时在 Apple ID 订阅设置中管理或取消。
• 价格与变更：当前价格在你确认前于 App Store 显示。我们可能对价格作前瞻性调整；变更不影响你已付费的周期。
• 退款：购买由 Apple 处理，受 Apple 退款政策约束。退款请求通过 Apple 而非 CardCompass 提出。

6. 关联金融账户

关联银行或卡账户是可选的，由 Plaid 提供支持。如果你关联账户，即授权 CardCompass 通过 Plaid 接收交易、负债和账户元数据信息，以提供本服务，详见我们的隐私政策。

你对 Plaid 的使用还受 Plaid 自身的最终用户隐私政策和条款约束。你可随时在应用内断开已关联账户，这将撤销我们对该账户的持续访问。

7. 可接受使用

你同意不：

• 对本服务进行逆向工程、反编译，或试图提取其源代码（法律允许的除外）。
• 干扰、扰乱本服务或其基础设施，或对其施加不当负载。
• 通过自动化手段访问本服务，或在未经我们书面许可的情况下抓取数据。
• 利用本服务违反任何法律或侵犯他人权利。
• 冒充他人或虚假陈述你的关联关系。

8. 不构成财务建议

CardCompass 仅为方便而提供信息和工具。它不提供财务、税务、法律或投资建议，本服务中的任何内容都不应被作为此类建议加以依赖。

回报率、积分估值、兑换价值、权益细节和推荐均为估算，可能不完整、过时或不准确。任何卡片的官方条款、利率和权益完全由发卡机构决定。你有责任在采取行动前向你的发卡机构核实信息，并对自己的财务决策独立负责。

9. 知识产权

本服务（包括其软件、设计、文本和原创内容）归 CardCompass 所有，受知识产权法保护。我们授予你一项个人的、不可转让的、非独占的、可撤销的许可，以将本应用用于其预期用途。

卡面图、品牌名称和标识归各自发卡机构所有，仅用于识别目的。CardCompass 不隶属于、不受任何银行或发卡机构背书。

10. 第三方服务

本服务依赖第三方，包括 Plaid、Apple、Google、RevenueCat 等。你对这些服务的使用可能受其各自条款和隐私政策约束。我们不对第三方的作为、不作为或内容负责。

13. 终止

你可以随时停止使用本服务，并在应用的账户设置中删除你的账户，这将按隐私政策所述删除你的服务器端数据。如果你实质性违反本条款，或以可能造成损害或法律风险的方式使用本服务，我们可以暂停或终止访问。

14. 条款的变更

我们可能会不时更新本条款。重大变更将通过应用内和/或电子邮件告知，并更新“最后更新”日期。变更生效后继续使用本服务即构成对更新条款的接受。

15. 适用法律

本条款受美国及 CardCompass 设立地所在州的法律管辖并据其解释，不考虑法律冲突原则。你同意任何争议将在位于美国的法院解决。
